This course explores connections between events described in the Old Testament and perspectives from science and historical reference sources. Topics include the creation of the universe, Earth, and humanity; the first and second rebellions of angels; Noah’s flood; giants on the Earth; Abraham; Sodom and Gomorrah; the ark of the covenant; and more. Participants should expect active discussion, questions, and commentary on these subjects.
While it is recommended that attendees read Bible Topics: Comparing Ancient References and Science to Biblical Events of the Old Testament by Ronald S. Vidra beforehand, it is not required. The book is available on the Barnes & Noble website. A PowerPoint presentation will also be provided during the course.
