Would you like to play bridge with other OLLI members in a friendly and supportive atmosphere? This SIG meets in person weekly. Dates and times will be announced in our weekly e-newsletter.

In some ways, Canasta has elements of Mah Jongg and Bridge, but easier to learn! Canasta can be played two, three or four. It’s best played as a partnership game (4 people).

Canasta uses two regular decks of cards, including the jokers. Each player is dealt eleven cards. Players sitting across from each other are partners.

It’s not difficult to learn and we have good teachers to those who want to learn!

The games SIG meets in-person once or twice monthly to play board and card games like Scrabble, Scattegories, Quiddler, Five Crowns, Wizard, Rummikub, etc. You are free to bring a game you’d like to share.

The knitting SIG meets in person every Thursday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at The York Merchant (441 E. Market St, York, PA 17403).

All skill levels of knitting and crochet are welcome.

Mah Jongg is a game similar to Rummy, but it is played with tiles instead of cards. We will play the American version of mah jongg and will be following the National Mah Jongg League office standard hands and rules. Dates and times will be announced in our weekly e-newsletter. 

The walking SIG meets at local parks and trails year-round, in all weather conditions, and at least once a month. The length of the walk is shared prior to each walk. The goal is for light exercise, fresh air, and camaraderie.
